Angio’s Rebrand

2021
For my Senior Capstone Project to complete my Bachelor’s degree, I wanted to dedicate my time to working on a brand design for a local restaurant. Angio’s Italian Restaurant was a family owned and operated business for 30 years.
Originally was relocating to Louisville’s Jeffersontown neighborhood. With this new location came new faces, new friends and new customers. The people who work for Angio’s aren’t just employees, they are more like an extended family. The service is welcoming, the staff is friendly and engaging, but the brand itself no longer reflected the excitement around their food. A new location opened up the opportunity for a brand redesign – a fresh face to go along with their fresh ingredients.
When discussing the restaurant with the manager, she expressed that she wanted people to see that Angio’s is “witty, whimsical, fun, unique, and different.” After extensive research, a long sketching period and multiple approaches, I created a new logo, menu, gift cards, stickers, website, packaging, and uniforms in a modern and unique style.
I chose this project as my capstone to showcase my print and digital design skills, to further explore digital illustration, and to gain professional experience designing for a client. My Project deliverables were created using Procreate (Illustration), Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe XD for the website design. This new style will help Angio’s become a more recognizable brand, attract new customers and keep current customers coming in for more.
The final project was presented at the Senior Capstone event to an in-person audience, and streamed online.
